Fans Remembrance Match

Brentford FC’s Annual Remembrance game, to remember all Brentford supporters who passed away in 2023 has been scheduled to take place when the Bees entertain Nottingham Forest on the 20th January 2024.

For the past thirteen seasons, after a suggestion form BIAS, Brentford FC have held an Annual Remembrance game, so that the lives of all recently departed supporters, players and former club employees could be remembered.

To assist with planning the Remembrance Game is traditionally held on the First Home League game of the new year. Therefore, allowing the date to be put onto the calendar when the fixtures are announced and so that fans who have lost love ones can make arrangements to attend the fixture.

The match programme for the Nottingham Forest game will list the names of all former players, employees and supporters who have died during 2023 and that supporters are invited to submit photographs of those who have passed away to be displayed on the big screens around the ground. A minute’s applause will also take place prior to kick off.

If you wish to add a name to the remembrance list then please email supporterservices@brentfordfc.com by 5pm on Thursday 11 Jan 2024, with the subject line ‘Brentford Remembers 2023’. Please see the article on the Brentford FC website here
