BIAS attends our first FSA Premier League Meeting

BIAS attended our first Premier League Network meeting on 20th September, chaired by the Football Supporters Association (FSA).

A wide range of issues that impact match-going fans were discussed including:

  • The safe return of fans to grounds and plans for Covid testing and certification.
  • The introduction of safe standing in stadia
  • Cryptocurrency and fan engagement/monetisation
  • The introduction of Digital Ticketing
  • The Fan-Led Review of Football Governance
  • The impact of TV picks on match-goers.

This meeting was called ahead of an FSA meeting with the Premier League on 29th September and was attended by senior Premier League officials including chief executive Richard Masters.

As a result of our meeting on the 20th September, a number of the above issues were taken forward to the meeting with the Premier League. Fan representatives from six Premier League clubs attended the meeting, drawn from the Premier League network of democratically structured trusts and supporter groups, of which BIAS is one.

Although BIAS were not represented at the FSA meeting with the Premier League, we ensured that the agenda covered the issues and concerns raised to us by Brentford supporters.

BIAS remains a fully participating affiliate member of the FSA and we will continue to work on behalf of Brentford Supporters to improve the experience and pleasure of the match day event for all supporters, home or away as well as working to safeguard the integrity of the football pyramid.

As always, the strength pf BIAS influence is based on the number and activity of our members. If you are not a member, help add to that voice, and join TODAY at bias.org.uk/join – It is now FREE and only takes a couple of minutes

TOGETHER WE ARE STRONGER
