Last week BIAS met with Jon Varney, CEO Brentford Football Club to understand the Club’s plans for the new season. This proved to be a very open and productive meeting where we were able to share ideas and concerns with Jon.
BIAS had already collated feedback from Supporters and shared these with the Club. Jon advised that the Club are still working through their plans for both games behind closed doors and for restricted access to the stadium and are using the feedback we provided to help shape their plans in this regard.
Today, the Club’s website provided news on how to watch our first games on-line, and actions that Season Ticket holders need to take to help to assist the Club – this can be found here
The Club expect to be in a position to share their final plans with Season Ticket holders very soon but before doing so will meet with BIAS again to provide a detailed walk through of their plans.
We recognise that the Club has an incredibly difficult task finding a solution that all season ticket holders will find acceptable, particularly when planning for the restricted return of season ticket holders. Inevitably some fans will be disappointed with the Club’s proposals but BIAS will work to ensure that whatever is announced is as fair and as transparent as possible.
We also took the opportunity to raise with Jon that some season ticket holders have not received refunds from last season, Jon apologised for the delay and emails will be sent to those impacted with dates they can expect to receive their refunds. We are also aware of some supporters have experienced problems with their Loyalty Points – Jon has agreed to investigate – watch this space for further updates.
BIAS continues to work during these difficult times to improve the experience and pleasure of the match day event for our fans – Please join us TODAY – Membership is FREE, just visit bias.org.uk/join – It only takes a couple of minutes and your support will be greatly appreciated.
