BIAS are looking to meet with Jon Varney next week to understand the Club’s plans for the new season.
The 20/21 Season starts on the 12th September (excluding our Carabao Cup game against Wycombe Wanderers on the 5th September) behind closed doors and we understand that supporters will not be allowed back in stadiums until at least the 3rd October following current Government advice. This may of course change if there is a second spike or a deterioration in public health due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
In particular we are keen to understand the Club’s plans for matches played at our new stadium behind closed doors, and when restricted access to matches will be allowed in line with Government guidelines.
We accept that the Club has an incredibly difficult task to find a solution that is fair and transparent to our new season ticket holders, particularly when planning for the restricted return to our new stadium. BIAS stands ready to work with the Club to this end.
We will be working with the Club to provide more detailed information on their plans so that season ticket holders can fully understand the options available and have sufficient time to make their own decisions. Further updates will also be provided on this site and our other media platforms.
As always, the strength of BIAS’s influence is based on the number and activity of our members. If you are not a member of BIAS, help add to our voice and join TODAY at bias.org.uk/join – It is now free and only takes a couple of minutes.
