Do you know of a fellow Brentford supporter who deserves recognition for helping fellow Bees fans?

Maybe someone who works tirelessly behind the scenes? If so, please nominate them for ‘The Graham Haynes Trophy’, which will be awarded at a forthcoming Brentford game.

This is an independent award, donated in memory of Graham Haynes, who not only wrote and co-wrote several books about Brentford Football Club but contributed to the Match Day programme for over 30 years. He also became the official Club historian, and helped many other Bees fans, before his untimely death on his way to Griffin Park a few seasons ago.

It will be selected by an independent panel and awarded to a person who, over a long period of time, has voluntarily and without pay or reward, contributed to Brentford Football Club by way of service, endeavour, fund raising or other activity to promote the Club for the benefit of its supporters.

Previous winners include Ian Westbrook, Alan Rogers, Mark Burridge, Peter Jeffrey, Geoff Buckingham and Richard Merritt.

Please e-mail your nominations asap, with a brief explanation, to the late Graham Haynes’s widow Janet on
