Brentford 4 Blackpool 0

Record breaking Brentford ‘stroll in the park’ to thrash Blackpool.

Blackpool were completely dominated by a Brentford side who appeared to labour in second gear for most of the evening.

A record breaking 42 attempts were made on the Blackpool goal and whilst Bees fans were happy with the win the final score could have been a lot more and with a bit of luck even in Double figures

Toral got an ‘almost perfect’ hatrick, left foot, header, right knee to claim the match ball.

The Bees passed the ball with ease, maintain passion for most of the evening in this most one sided affair. Blackpool were not helped just before the break when Dunne was dismissed with a straight red for a foul just outside the box.

With Blackpool reduced to ten and Brentford’s dominance and relentless pressure, the visitors often had a 1-8-1 formation as they tried to keep the score line in check.

Gray scored Brentford’s third goal with a screamer but Blackpool should thank their keeper Lewis for deny many of the other Brentford attempts
