BIAS STATEMENT

Like all Brentford supporters, BIAS are deeply saddened by recent speculation over Mark Warburton’s future and the uncertainty that has surrounded the Club over the past week.

BIAS would like to stress our admiration for both Mark Warburton and Matthew Benham and hope that, whatever happens, the situation is resolved quickly. The most important thing is for the Club to provide clarity and transparency to decisively end the rumours and uncertainty. With this in mind we eagerly await the press release expected from the Club tomorrow.

Mark Warburton has done an excellent job since taking charge in December 2013 in leading the Club to promotion from League One and guiding the team into the playoff places in our first season in the Championship.

Our recent success however would not have been possible without the support and investment of our owner Matthew Benham and it is important to remember that without his investment over the last decade Brentford Football Club may not exist today. We believe Matthew Benham has the best interests of Brentford at heart and we respect his right to decide how to take the club forward on and off the pitch. We also acknowledge that his investment has been essential in our progress towards securing a new stadium at Lionel Road, and securing the long-term sustainability of the club.

BIAS’s motto is ‘Bringing Brentford fans together’ and the team need our support more than ever on Saturday against Bournemouth so we urge supporters to attend Griffin Park next weekend and back everyone representing the club as we try and get our season back on track.
