Brentford Ladies were crowned champions of Capital Women’s Intermediate Cup on Sunday 27th April after a 5-1 victory over QPR Development.
The Bees started brightly having most of the possession and early shots on goal just missing the target.

15 minutes had gone and it was the Brentford Women’s who looked the most threatening, Lavana Neufville crossed the ball into the box which was misjudged by the QPR goalkeeper and Latoya Bailey was there to slot the ball into the empty goal.
The Bees finally had a spring in their step and continued to wow the crowd with some brilliant football on show.

The Bees’ quick combination play in and around the penalty box was most pleasing and shortly after Ashley Cheatley doubled their lead.
Brentford continued to turn on the style with Hannah Noonan adding to the score line just before the break.
Brentford looked in total control as both sides headed in and this game looked a very one sided affair.
Credit to QPR however who came out in the second half fighting. They have a very good ten minute spell which nearly saw them grab an early goal but it was Brentford and Cheatley who added another against the run of play.

Cheately completed her hatrick after the hour mark and was quite rightly awarded the player of the match.

QPR grabbed a consolation in the last five minutes but it was Brentford Women’s who ran away winners of the cup.
A mention to Middlesex FA who held a brilliant final, well orchestrated and organised as well as providing Physio and brilliant officials on the day.
