Brentford Women’s saw themselves within touching distance of winning their league after a 4-1 victory over Luton Town Hatters.
Claire Richardson who has been side lined for six months with an injury, returned to action at Lampton School and put the Bees ahead after 15 minutes.
Brentford continued to pile on the pressure in the early period of the game as Luton struggled to get the ball out of their half.
Shortly before the half an hour mark in the game Richardson doubled her tally and Amber Luzar added to this for Brentford to head in at half time 3-0 up.
The second half was very much a scrappy affair with both teams struggling to deal with the weather conditions.
Ashley Cheatley added to her superb goal tally for the season before Luton grabbed a consolation goal after mix-up at the back.
The Bees travel away to Enfield Town next week with only a draw required to clinch the League Title.
