Brentford Women’s FC beat Comets FC to book their place in the final of the Capital Women’s Cup.
It took extra time to decide the winners and it was Brentford who took the initiative late on to win the game.
The Bees went 1-0 up early on as Manuela Naprati latched onto Ashley Cheatley’s cross to poke the ball above the goalkeeper.
Comets fought back extremely well and soon after went level before taking the lead just before half time.
After the break Brentford kept piling on the pressure and with five minutes left in normal time time Latoya Bailey met Cheatley’s drilled cross.
Both teams returned from extra time and it was Brentford who deservedly went 3-2 up when Dana Johnson raced clear of the defence and lobbed the goalkeeper.
The Bees were fully deserved of their win at the end of the game and play QPR Development Squad in the final.
