Third Boat to Orient and boat ticket info

There are still a few places available on the third BIAS boat to the Top of table clash at Leyton Orient on Saturday 15th March.

Due to the earlier kick off of the Orient game the departure times of the boats have been changed, The boats will now depart from Putney Pier at 08.30 to arrive at North Greenwich at 11.00.

The Golden Salamander

The first two boats which have already been booked and paid for, sold out within 48 hours of being announced.

This top of the table clash could be all important come the end of the season and it would therefore be great if we could support our team in numbers.

Brentford FC were in negotiations with Leyton Orient and were prepared to take the full allocation of approximately 3,700 on a guaranteed sale basis. We consider this a testament to how much the team value the support and the lift that the travelling Bees fans provide. (At the time of writing we are still waiting for our away allocation to be confirmed – hopefully now that the game is on TV Orient will not require a guaranteed sale basis).

Due to the original popular demand, after the first two boats sold out within 48 hours of being announced we reserved a third vessel for our top of the table clash away to Leyton Orient

The third vessel will join other boats to take us down river from Putney, departing at 08:30 and arriving at North Greenwich (by the O2 Arena) around 11:00.

From North Greenwich it is a short tube journey to Leyton (Jubilee Line to Stratford, Central Line to Leyton) and a short (10 minute) walk from there to the ground. This could be a vital match in Brentford’s push for promotion so make sure you’re there.

If you are going, there’s no better way to go than a boat trip down the Thames and a chance to see all the famous landmarks – Houses of Parliament, London Eye, HMS Belfast, Tower of London, Tower Bridge, etc. There will be a pay bar on board and there should be sausage and bacon butties available.
