Five Star Brentford were rampant for the second week running as they put fiv e past Crewe without reply.
The Bees started well and dominated the game from the off but it was not until the 43rd minute that they took the advantage.
Trotta scored his fourth in as many games with a sublime header. Forshaw’s free kick was headed clear when Trotta steamed six yards into the box to head the ball powerfully home.
The impressive 6616 crowd, which included a just a couple of hundred Bees fans were on their feet once more within a minute of the restart. Trotta provided the assist to Forshaw who out foxed the keeper to slot home in front of the BIAS stand.
The Bees were now playing with sublime confidence and were well on top. Donaldson missed a sitter from 6 yards before Saville, on loan from Chelsea, made it three with a brilliant curling shot that was struck just outside the box and gave the Crewe keeper Martin, no chance.
With three minutes the ball was again in the back of the Crewe net. Donaldson ran on to a Douglas through ball to beat Martin who seamed to pause along with the whole Crewe defence as if expecting an offside.
Clayton scored his second and the Bees fourth from a Farid assist and once again chose not celebrate his strike against his former club.
The Bees continued to press and had a good penalty appeal turned down.
The Bees have now won their last six and will travel to Wolves full of confidence and with a large Bees following.
