Supporters attending the recent Sheffield United couldn’t have failed to have notice the army of volunteers handing out colourful ‘Wish You Were Here’ postcards. Each of the cards will be logged by Hounslow Council and will count as being representations in support of the Club’s planning application.
We thank those who have already filled these in or even better sent an email or letter directly to the Council to support the proposal for the new stadium. We are making good progress but there’s still a long way to go.
Showing our support of the new stadium is absolutely vital as it is still by no means certain that the Council will approve the proposals.
The cards will be available again at the forthcoming fixtures against Walsall and Carlisle. Supporters will be able to collect their cards from the turnstiles and they can be returned in post boxes which will be available at each of the main exits.
Supporters will need to add their name and full post address – without this crucial information the cards will not be validated. The postcards also allow space for supporters to add their own messages of support, but this is not essential.
If you have not registered your support for Lionel Road – by letter, by email, online or, indeed, by postcard – it is not too late, but time is running short and this Saturday will be as good a time as any.
