Netherlands Bees

Our network of International and Regional Branches continues to expand as we reach out to bring Brentford fans together.

Harald Hanemaaijer from Zoetermeer in the Netherlands is our latest International Co-ordinator.

His first visit to Griffin Park to see Brentford was with his mate Klaas Damstra in the 2008/2009 campaign vs Notts County, the season our club clinched the League Two title.

Harald and Klaas have a long standing friendship and passion for football ande decided to make the “short football journey” to London with the permission of their partners.

Harald and Klass had read on the internet about Brentford being famous because of the ground with the four pubs and the passion of the fans.

After their first game they were getting hooked on Brentford and never had a second of regret making the trip to Griffin Park!

All though Harald has seen many home matches of clubs like Ajax Amsterdam, Barcelona, Borussia Dortmund, Flamengo, Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and West Ham United says honestly that nothing compares to Brentford!

During the last five years Harald and Klass have visited for a lot of matches including memorable home games against the likes of Sheffield United, Portsmouth and the FA Cup replay versus Chelsea in the away section at Stamford Bridge.

This season (2013/2014) Harald and Klass have already seen the first two games of the campaign: away at Port Vale and the first League Cup tie against Dagenham & Redbridge.

HaraId says that he must admit that those two will definitely not be the last ones as he believes that we now have a strong team which should be going up.

Nowadays more friends of HaraId friends have seen a Brentford FC match and can be considered as Bees as well!

The Netherland Bees are on Facebook and would welcome more additions.
