A strong Hey Jude BIAS side turned out against AFC Wimbledon on Saturday morning and ran out easy winners.
The Brentford fans started patiently, giving debuts to 3 players, as Hey Jude BIAS played their first game since September.
They received a shock to the system within the first ten minutes, going one down, from a first time, edge of the area volley, which flew into the top corner, leaving keeper Harry K helpless.
Jacob Murtagh levelled the scores soon after, placing his shot in the right of the goal, beyond the outstretched keeper, for his 13th Hey Jude BIAS goal and Adam Bark added a second and debut player John Nunn gave the away team a half time cushioned 3-1 lead.
The 2nd half saw Hey Jude BIAS dominate the game, with some very neat passing and movement. 3 more goals followed, but it could have been many more.
New boys John and Michael O’Donoghue were evading challenges and delivering crosses, causing panic in the Wimbledon box.
Veteran full back Smiffy, slotted home a 4th goal (his first for 3 seasons) from the edge of the area, before the majestic Laurie Hicks waltzed through the Dons defence for a fine solo effort. It was the 4th goal in 5 Hey Jude games for the centre back.
Michael’s dangerous cross led to a 6th, own goal , near the end, but the closing action saw 2nd half stopper Adam Bark lobbed from 30 yards, as Wimbledon netted a late consolation.
