Brentford 0 Notts County 0
14th April 2012

Greville Waterman on a strong point from a strong game.

A tough game at Griffin Park where Notts County knew just a bit too much for Brentford who were unable to break the visitors down.

The Playoff dream continues but three points would have helped today.

County were hard to break down and chances were few and far between.

Hughes hit the bar for County which was as close as they came and Donaldson shot over after a wonderful flowing move.

Saunders was the main inspiration for the Bees.

He had two sighters with first half free kicks before he almost won the game late on when his wonderful curling free kick was brilliantly headed off the line by Stewart who saved a point for his team.

This was a decent team performance that lacked bite up front. So much so that Legge was brought on as an emergency striker and did a decent job.

A point was a fair return from a tough match and the dream continues.

Off now to Stevenage.
