Boxing Day Fixture Changes

BIAS deplores Sky’s casual treatment of fans who yet again face difficult journeys at an important time of year for many, for the sake of television fixtures. While we understand the financial benefits, and the importance of income to the club, BIAS also question at what point the balance lies between taking every available income stream and protecting loyal fans. We understand it is difficult for clubs to say no to moving fixtures, but would like to better understand the

Lionel Road Stadium Consultation

Following on from our requests at the fans and stadium forums, the Club have selected a group of fans to consult on some of the stadium plans. This includes three members of the current BIAS committee.   We will of course attend and participate, because we think it’s important to do so and feel that any consultation with fans is positive and will help the stadium be better. The BIAS Committee object to the EFL’s “Whole Game Solution” proposals as we have seen them so far. Below are our views on the key aspects: Club v Country The BIAS Committee does not support the general premise that the success of the England national team is important to most football fans, and important enough to warrant the reorganisation of the EFL. New Road Gantry – Apology and Compensation

BIAS welcomes the club’s apology, actions to reduce the problems with the new TV gantry and the compensation that is now being offered to some affected fans.   BIAS has been in constant communication with the Club about the gantry to represent fans’ views and get a good outcome.   We met with both Kurt Pittman and Alan Walsh on New Road after the Nottingham Forest match. This was constructive and led to the club replacing the cladding around the

Update on New Road Gantry

After the Nottingham Forest game last night BIAS met with both Kurt Pittman and Alan Walsh to discuss the matter of the new gantry structure in New Road. We felt the meeting was constructive and although we are yet to reach an acceptable and final conclusion to the matter we understand that, as a first measure, the black hoarding around the new larger gantry will be replaced with a clear perspex surround. BIAS remain disappointed that the club failed to
