Sir Edward Lister has today confirmed the decision, on behalf of the Mayor Boris Johnson of the Hounslow Council Planning Committee to grant planning permission for the club’s planning application for the new Community Stadium at Lionel Road. The Club can now start the process of building the stadium at Lionel Road subject to referral to the Secretary of State and subject to the conclusion of a Section 106 Agreement. Following the success for Brentford Football Club with decision by the Planning Committee of Hounslow Council on a new stadium, attention now turns to the Mayor of London who will shortly make a decision on whether to allow the plans to pass as they are, or to “call in” the project in for further scrutiny.
