The difference in the standard of football at Griffin Park this season was evident throughout this game, neat touches, fast flowing, great control and excellent movement.

One fan quipped that Derby County were premiership class but that the Bees were Champions League and this summed up just how far Brentford have come.

Griffin Park has witnessed giant killings in the past were poor Premiership teams have had an off day, but this was different, OKm derby are not Premiership, but their squad could be and they arrived at Griffin Park sitting proudly at the top of the Championship and were more than matched over 90 minutes in all areas by an entertaining Brentford side.

Brentford struggled in the first twenty minutes, finding it hard to cope with derby;s swift passing movements and momentum .

County took the lead when Judge was dispossessed and with Moses pushing up to join the attack, Derby took advantage of the space down the left wing and Martin was able to strike the incoming ball beyond Button’s reach.
The goal galvanised the Bees into action, with Toral and Douglas assisting Gray in attack and Jota switching flanks. The Bees looked promising but the final balls let down their good approach play

No sooner had the second half started and the Bees were back in the game. Moses terrorised the Rams defence before laying on the perfect assist to Gray who found the net with his first time strike
The midfield battle was lively but controlled well by the ref.

The Bess should have taken the lead when Gray, unmarked in the six yard box, headed against the post from Judges cross

It was time for change and the introduction of Pritchard and Dallas gave the Bees more impetus as the Bees not content with a well earned point against the league leaders went for the win. Gray who had given his all was replace by Proschwitz and the game continued to ebb and flow with both sides looking for the all important winning goal.

The winning goal came in the fourth minute of added time when Moses cross from the right wing looked far too deep as it whizzed across the 18 yard box. Dallas though saw it coming and was the quickest to react to volley as his shot into the top right hand corner.

Griffin Park erupted with joy, with wild scenes of celebration.

Man of the match was Toumani who was on loan at Portsmouth last season.
