Brentford WFC Training 1

Brentford WFC Training 1

Hello All!

It’s been a good week in camp after the last minute winner against AFC phoenix last weekend.

The Ladies went into training with their running shows in hand. Which only meant one thing… Fitness!

The ladies got really worked, pure fitness with a lot of running with the ball.

On Sunday Brentford Women FC played Luton Town Hatters who are sitting second from bottom  of the league. It was the first week back on grass at Lampton School, the home of Brentford Womens and girls FC.

With a sloppy start with too much time and choice of where to pass, accurate passes were slipping.

We had chance after chance but we didn’t score until Goody broke through the defence to score, then not long after she scored her second.
2-0 up but we still needed to use the wings more to create space for the attack.

Amber Luzar made it 3-0 when she found herself in the box all the way from Right back.

Helicopter Halts Play

Play was stopped shortly for the landing of an emergency response helicopter in the next field, whoever it was for I hope they’re all okay!

After an intense half time talk the Ladies had to pick things up even though we were winning. After some chances their striker managed to stay onside and run the ball into the back of the net… Some deliberation that she was offside…but I thought she was on, it was their other striker who was off but did not interfere with play.

The final score was 4-1 when a beautiful strike came from Ashley Cheatley!

This means we only need 1 more point to win the league on goal difference… Bring on Next weekend against Enfield Town Reserves!

On other news Dana Johnson Finally posed for the players profile picture, this just sums her up!
